Hi All; I received this from my local VFW Post. Please send a card if you can in salute for a WWII Vet. It will mean a "ton" to him..

Found this in an old trunk we have headed for an auction in a few weeks.
I think I will have it framed.
Dated July 9, 1943 from "The Shipbuilder" a union newsletter put out for shipbuilders and fitters on the west coast during WWII, a month before I was born.

I have been asked to go on one of the Honor Flights, maybe I should not, for if I was to witness THIS....
no telling what may happen!

Perhaps they need a Marine Guard here. Those guys at Arlington don’t put up with any ****.
