Hi All; I received this from my local VFW Post. Please send a card if you can in salute for a WWII Vet. It will mean a "ton" to him..

> Hi! My name is Becky Newsome and my Dad is a WWII Veteran who will be celebrating his 90th birthday on Sept. 11, 2010. My goal is for him to receive 1000 Birthday/Thanks For Your Service To Our Country cards.
> My Dad would be honored to receive a personal note from other Veterans who have served.
> Send Cards To: Albert Knisley

Found this in an old trunk we have headed for an auction in a few weeks.
I think I will have it framed.
Dated July 9, 1943 from "The Shipbuilder" a union newsletter put out for shipbuilders and fitters on the west coast during WWII, a month before I was born.

This just makes my blood boil and I see RED...
Just like the waters off Tarawa and Omaha beach'

I have been asked to go on one of the Honor Flights, maybe I should not, for if I was to witness THIS....
no telling what may happen!

Perhaps they need a Marine Guard here. Those guys at Arlington don’t put up with any ****.

Subject: Another example of how America has lost track of itself

This photo was taken at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. You may judge for yourself if the liberal agenda of the media and too many politicians have created such an appalling mindset of disrespect and indifference.
