SLT1550 Transmission runs fine for about an hour, then won't go forward nor backwards.

My SLT1550 will run normal when I first fire it up. Will mow for maybe an hour or so... then, the transmission stops working and it doesn't go forwards, nor backwards. I disengage the PTO and wait 30 seconds, then re-engage and it will drive again for maybe 10 minutes. then the same thing happens. I do the same thing over and over and the intervals get shorter and shorter until it basically just won't drive any more. Does anyone know how to help?
