I got in a hurry last year and thought the front clutch on my 72 had worked itself out of adjustment, I got in a hurry and didn't look at the front clutch, I just tightened up the turnbuckle. What had acuallly happened was the fiber button had broke off. Before I caught it the vertical arm had just about worn the steel button on the clutch almost through.
We can learn from mine and others mistakes but you'd have to share bad expiriences about doing dum stuff.
Do I get a sign.

DAVE - I agree with WAYNE, you're NOT the first to have that happen. Anytime the PTO clutch adjustment changes abruptly it's a good sign that the fiber button has gone MIA. My old 129 used to spit a fiber button out at least once a year. I bought then 3-4 at a time.
