Brought my 482 home yesterday. Had to remove the fuel tank, and clean out ll the crap in the bottom. Filled it with fresh gas ans charger the battery. It crancked but refused to start. Checked and had good spark, and even had fuel up to the inner port on the carb. There is a line running from the carb to the block that is frayed and loose. So,I replaced that as well. Droped the float bowl and it was dry. I figure that 1) the diaphram in the fuel pump went bad. 2) It sat too long without fresh gas and it's all gummed up. I did order a carb rebuild kit from a local Briggs and Straton dealer. That should be here sometime this week... If anyone could give me more info on my red cub...The serno # 2050597U730559 Model# 144482399...As soon as I can resize the pics, I'll post them... Hope that the carb is not too hard to get off and rebuild....
