I ordered a block heater kit from my Cub cadet dealer and I think it may be the wrong one. Can anyone get a picture of there block heater and location on the block? The block heater I have is a brass threadded one that threads into the block. My Cub cadet manual says that block heater is located on left side of block. What is the kubota engine model in the 782D so I can have my cub cadet dealer double check.

The block heater I got from my Cub Cadet dealer installed in the cylinder head, not the block. It went into the head at a freeze plug location on the head, towards the front end of the tractor. It was the expansion type heater, not threaded. I wonder if they use a different supplier, and require an added housing for the heater now, as does Yanmar??

Your 782D has a D-600 Kubota diesel engine. I have never seen a threaded-in heater used on these Kubotas, always the freeze plug installs.

I put a expansion plug block heater in my 782D in the freeze plug up front. Took a little bit of modification of the front bracket, but it worked very well. Consider a torque reduction starter as well.
