I just installed a creeper gear on my CC128. It worked fine but the shifter requires a wider range of motion than the cover plate will allow. I have to remove the cover plate in order to get it to go from low to high. Is there any kind of adjustment I can make to correct this problem?

This should really be in the main forum where more people will see it.

Anyway, the shift fork is probably worn excessively. I think it's NLA, so your best course of action is probably to weld up the worn areas and grind them flush again.

I fugured out my creeper gear problem. The hole in the shift lever that the roll pin goes through had wallowed out and results in loose motion on the roll pin. I noticed when I got it that someone had secured the roll pin to the shift lever with a piece of wire. It just didn't occur to me that I had bought someone else's problem.
