I left the needle bearings where they were and assembled the snow blower. The bearings for the gear box and the auger were replaced last year. Every thing turns smoothly, by hand, even the chute. I haven't attached it to my 127 yet.

What oil/grease do people put on the chain? I know that most of it will fling off under use. I was thinking of putting some light oil on it until I start using it, then I thought some sort of grease.

Paul- I spray some motorcycle chain lube on it after each use. It lubes it for next time and keeps it from rusting. Usually available at any parts store.

Is there a faq page on how to fix the lean of your front tires? Would I just need to tighten my ties rods in correct?

The tie rods set the toe of the tractor, ie the front wheels pointed inward (toe in) or outward (toe out). If you are thinking of the tilt of the wheels, (from top to bottom) that is camber, but I don't believe it is adjustable. I think there is a sleeve in the axle casting that may be a wearing part, but I'm not 100% on that so we'll need to wait for someone more familiar to respond.

Camber (tire lean) is built into the axle to keep the tractor controlable. If the wheels are leaning too far the spindle, axle, wheel bearings, or wheels could be worn or damaged. Wide frames have a replaceable sleeve in the axle where the spindle rides. Narrow frames do not.

And Chopping up Leaves,,,
Never have been much of a "LAWN" person, never done any watering or weed & feed,,,
Any negative long term "lawn" effects of just using the 44a w/ regular non-gator / non-mulching blades to make leaves go away, vs raking & bagging?

Never been a fan of the way A decks chop leaves. I have an old MTD mower with a mulch kit that worked well. Left the pieces quite small and had no adverse effects on the grass. Actually provides nutrients to the soil. I now put the leaves in the garden. I got a used wall behind shredder vac but I didn't want to keep going over the whole lawn. Now I use the 1250 and blow the leaves into windrows and then vacuum them up and dump them in the garden. Works well.

Go for it...it will mulch better if you windrow them and then back over them (keeps them under the deck)

Also, unless the 122 has a creeper I'd opt for using the 123. Being a hydro you will better be able to control your tilling speed.
