Shakes? Is the engine misfiring?

I had a 100 that had some strange running issues that ran me in circles. I finally tried a new wire from the coil to the points and it cleared the problem up. Apparently there was an intermittent short at one of the clips.

Loader problem:

This diagram shows how an open center hydraulic system works (all Cub Cadet hydraulics, attachments too, are open center).

The relief valve on your loader valve should be parallel to the spools and have a cap with an adjusting screw/jam nut under it. In this valve it is the part under the white decal.

Earl IIRC the timing sets on the S mark Which would be the short line with the s.

I have a nice Model 450 snowblower that I'd like to mount to my 782 Gas... but I don't have the mounting brackets.

I am recent buyer of, 1972,cub cadet 109, I live in canada, winters cool, the manual says to use only 30w engine oil, can I use 10w-30 or 5w-30?

Sounds like your condenser may be going bad or is not on the correct terminal on the coil. Alternately your float/needle maybe sticking, set improperly or your float has a hole/leak and no longer floats causing it to flood.

You can use pretty much anything you want, but once you start, don't switch back and forth.

Sidney,
I've had god luck with 5W-50 synthetic- helps cold weather starting, although the hydro will still slow cranking a lot. Some people place magnetic heaters on the bottom of he rear end to warm the hytran

Luther:
The short line is TDC the long line is before TDC which I assume is 20 degrees. The manual states it should be at 20 degrees before TDC. I have it on the long line. Is this not correct?
Earl

I would not run 30w below freezing, that stuff turns to gel. My Kohler does get grumpy because of temp changes but a small turn of the jet usually makes it happy.
