    David s did you have the smaller drive pulley for the crankshaft for your bb-36? It looks like it. If so what was the approximate diameter? I'm pretty sure it was smaller than the mower deck one.

    Kraig - His name was/is Orville Martin, from Long Prairie, MN. He'd be well over 90 now, and I often wonder if he's still in his (air conditioned) shop, fixing up some 149. That model was his favorite. He did clever repairs like that key quite often.

    If one looks close, the engine tag prefix is "EX." This denotes the experimental nature of the engine, preproduction supplied by Kohler:
