Starter Bad?

I have a Cub Cadet 782 late 1970's, it only clicks when i turn the key, and if I do it enough times it will turn over. Is my starter going bad? The noise i hear is coming from the solenoid.

Jeff G you should post this question in the main forum if your 782 is under serial #694248 and if its higher than that post it in the ccc/mtd area. both take new entries and you will get a quicker answer.
