Kent-
My brother Joel got a 10 point (dressed at appox 230 lbs) on Saturday morning. I have not seen it but it is nice enough that they are having it mounted.

I figure I may as well show off. Here's a photo of the deer my father got this past Saturday in northern Wisconsin.

Charlie, thanks. The 90+ mile ride home was slow with the icy roads. I was hoping to shoot the 8 point or the 9 point that weve seen on the property. We had not seen the one my father shot on the 40 acres before. Though one of my cousins had been tracking him for 3 or 4 years in the area. He had a bad hoof on his left front that made the outside hoof splay out. Made for an easy track to follow.

Splayed hoof.

BTW, the 40 acres my parents own is a long way away from the location of the shootings that occured the opening weekend. That was a very bad deal.(

KRAIG - Young girl that was shot, Jessie Willers, went to Mexico with our group three & four yrs ago. Kinda brings that whole tragedy too close to home.

Well I am back from the hunt, deer hunt that is, got me 4 and kept 3, gave one to a older gentalman who can no longer get out and enjoy the hunt, he was all smiles when i left him.

Well I finally got my venison back from the processers, total cost of precessing 3 deer = $335.00. Don't think I will take it to a processing plant next year, will defently go back to doing it myself.
