Hello all, got pappy's gt2550 in shop and it keeps popping 25amp fuse for ignition. I cannot seem to come up with a wiring diagram for it. I tried a new ign switch but no good. I can get it to run with a snap-on ignition button clamped onto starter but not with the switch. pulling my hair out any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks tim

Short caused by bare wire somewhere.....start tracing it out.....

ok guys I have found the short, but now I cannot keep it running w/ the ignition modules hooked up. take the wires off and it gets spark, hook them up and spark goes away????? could I have a bad ignition module?

Still a wiring issue...short to ground in switch or harness.....

Tim, please tell us what you found, we do not delete post. They are kept for future reference when the next guy has the same problem

I have a similar issue with my 2006 GT-2550 (25 amp fuse popping). I found bare wire on light harness and fixed it. I still had a short to ground and removed light harness; not fixed. Removed PTO relay from circuit; not fixed. I am now getting ready to isolate Delta module and RMC module. After that I will go after Alternator and afterfire. Any ideas before I end up rebuilding all the electrical? Thanks
