Been working on a rear weight bracket for the cub. Bought a craftsman weight bracket from sears for the discounted price of 7 bucks, was 30! Hardware that came with it along was probably worth the money! Had to slot two holes, drill an access hole for the filler plug, and then notch it to clear the frame rails.
The instructions say to use with a rear wheel weight, since Digger hordes all the rear wheel weights, I found a 75lb piece of cast iron at my friends farm, needed to drill 2 holes.
Next went to the locl Garden Tractor Junkyard/Emporium and purchased a used coverplate for a gear drive. It was 10 bucks, cub dealer wanted $285 for a new one! It still needs to be cut off, but I got the filler plug removed.
Here is a shot of the bracket mounted to the tractor, I plan on welding the bracket to the used coverplate so that the weight will be distributed on the 4 SS Cummins turbo studs that my friend donated to the project.
Here is a shot of the final mockup, prior to me JB-welding the bracket to the coverplate.(Just kidding kentuck)
