Hi Guys,
I'm having trouble removing the axle pivot bolt on an Original. I think it is just rusted in place because it turns with the axle, but I wanted to make sure it is not threaded into the axle before I try more persuasive methods on it. What do you think?

Michael, it is not threaded into the axle, (at least it wasn't done that way from the factory) it must be rusted up. Spray it with some PB Blaster, Kroil, Liquid Wrench or your favorite penetrating oil and let it set for a while. It might take several "spray and wait" events but it should free up enough so you can get it out.

That'd be highly illogical...

Bryan, with the twin stacks on your 169, that is a natural for having NCC-1701 on it! Now is that just put on with a photo editor or is that a decal?

Bryan, when did you put the 4 bolt hubs on your 169?

Michael, you could also try a little heat from a torch, but I don't think I use too much with that cast axle or you could give the bolt head a good whack with a hammer and that might break it loose.

I am having a problem with the mechanical PTO on my 149 turning while the clutch is disengaged. I have had it off several times, rebuilt it and it still wants to turn. My question is: Can I convert this old style over to the new without having to get another rockshaft and will the clutch plates work on my old PTO?
