Probably just corroded enough to stick now and then. Suggest form lube or penetrant of some sort. Will usually loosen them up.
Perhaps part #9 is corroded and stuck or even broken. It's like a $6 part. Charlie more than likely has it in stock.

Sorry that I did not include which CC I Have. It is a 129. The brain was not working when I posted the question.
Has anyone taken this handle apart?

Fellas, looking for suggestions on how to fix or otherwise repair the fiber glass dash cowl on Iron Patriot (cc1450) the edge is cracked where the hood meets up with the cowl, but otherwise usable I've some ideas involving a sheetmetal "flange"reinforcement and some self tapping screws

I should have told Earl L. the handle isn't hard to take apart. Only thing I can say is. .... always a next time. :)

Does anyone know the correct paint scheme for a Planet Jr tiller like this one? I acquired this tiller several years ago and the time has come to restore it. The guy I bought it from had painted it yellow along with everything else he had that I purchased I have brochures and catalogs showing this attachment, but nothing showing any colors. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's the only pic I have handy.
It's from a 1985 sales brochure.

I remember we traded for one of the Planet JR tillers one time. Colors were some kind of gold/copper metal color and a dark green if I remember right but I don't remember exactly what parts were which color. Seems like engine and belt pulleys were dark green. Tiller tines were gold/copper. Mounting arms were maybe dark green? I don't think there was a dirt shroud over the tines on the one we had so not sure what color it should be nor the chain drive box. If I had to guess on the chain drive box I would say it would be the same color as the tines.

Maybe Kraig has a color picture of one from an old ad in his files. I know there have been pictures of the Planet JR tiller posted on here some in the past.

All of the Planet Jr. adds and manuals that I have are black & white and for the older model without the guard over the tines.
