Kendal, Thanks for the offer. What is interesting is the the transmissions are easy enough to acquire because they are built like tanks. The extras that are tougher to find. Like the clutch assemblies etc. Luckily I have a new to me dealer (thanks CCSpecialites ) as well as extra cubs and...

Wayne, No, I found an ugly 126 for sale and I found a nice 147 for sale. I already have way to many 147's. So I thought I would make a 146. For no other reason but to say I did. Here is a picture of the 126. The worst case is the transmission blows up and it goes back to a 147.

Kraig, My motivation for asking the question is the same as your reluctance. I have a 126 along side of the garage that needs to either be dragged into a heated garage or have surgery while in a snow bank. My current project involves installing a 126 drive train into a 147. I am making...

Matt, "I've played that game before" What project where you working on? Gerry, The issue is probably the assumed noise. I bet if you had a quite muffler no one would care.

Here's a weird question for you all. And I would be surprised if anyone knows the answer. Is part 17 on a 147, on the picture on top, interchangeable with part 15 on a 126, on the second picture below?

    Suggestions, Opinions, or Gripes

When I launch the site I use a bookmark link which launches the Last 3 day link. Just drag and drop the 3 or 7 into your favorites. That way I can quickly see what has been going on the last couple of days and can click away from there. I thought I would share this method for those who might...

David Yes. Mine was leaking at the shaft so I pulled it apart and buffed the rod a little with steel wool. I got a new o ring then I packed a bit of Teflon tape where the o ring goes to make it push a bit more onto the shaft. Maybe its just me but nothing is more annoying than a leaky cub.

    Gravel Driveway Drag

Mike, No they don't. Right now I use a bungee cord. I am going to work on that this winter. All they really need is a spring or something to hold them up.

    Gravel Driveway Drag

Here is a link to the box blade project I did a year or so ago. Those teeth really do some good ripping. I'm just not able to control the grading like I can with the drag. https://www.ihcubcadet.com/forum/messages/22744/265490.html?1387063295

    Gravel Driveway Drag

I smoothed out the driveway yesterday and it worked very well. I built a box blade a year or two ago that has teeth about every 8 inches. This will dig down roughly 2 inches. I took a couple of overlapping passed and roughed up the driveway real good. Then using the new drag it smoothed...

    Gravel Driveway Drag

Built a drag to see if it would level the pot holes in the driveway. The plan is to use the box blade diggers to rip the driveway first then drag it smooth.

    Screw drive "crap" show

This guy has a knack for the mickey mouse contraptions. At first I thought the screw drive was a odd but then watched him drag it out of the mud with the oddest back hoe maneuvering. https://youtu.be/FlJE8OheKbo

    Moose r us/ccspecailties

I can vouch for Charlie, very nice and well designed layout with tons of hospitality. I think what you've done with ccspecialites is something to be proud of and a sign would be a nice touch. You could just put the online sales only disclaimer. ;-)

    Firewood

When splitting wood like that I would never put my hand on top of the log. I always hold the side. It's too easy to get your hand between the log and the splitter. The wife runs the splitter while I load and stack. She knows, because I am very critical of hand position, to never put your...

    Growing garlic

Kraig, I lost my crop last year due to bad weather I think. This year a few decided to regrow and I might be able to keep the garlic growing by just replanting and now consuming. One thing about the garlic is it doesn't last long. I wish there was a better way to preserve the garlic...

I have a problem with the abandoned house next door and some creeping charlie. I had to bolt the sprayer to the 73. I love summer.

    Motorcycles....

I went for a bike ride last month and thought I'd share. I wanted to ride the tail of the dragon rode. After the tail of the dragon we just decided to drive under the ocean. Here is the roughly first half of the trip. The second half of the trip. Here is a picture of me taken by on...

I was thinking about creating a wing blade of some sorts to throw the snow from the edge of the sidewalk while running the snow blade. If the snow berm is higher than about 6 inches the snow falls back towards the tractor tires. I don't want a wider blade just a blade to shave the snow berm at...

The 126 was a little problematic this last weekend. The battery was very weak so I tested the S/G. I removed the field wire and the belt. I spun the starter up and shorted the F to ground and I had no speed change. Last winter I replaced the S/G with another one I had as a spare because the...
