    Iron Gard Questions

I've never used Iron Gard before and I plan to get some to use on my 125. Do you need to reduce it first or shoot it as it comes right out of the can? If it needs reducing, what do you use? Thanks!

    CCO ground cable

Working on my Original. Can someone tell me where the battery ground cable was actually attached to the chassis from the factory?

Kraig your timing is perfect! I just came in from the shop to see where the clips aft of the grill were located. I got some clips from McMaster Carr today that are already plastic coated; I just had to shorten them and reshape the ends. Thanks for the followup!

Thanks for the reply Kraig. Does anyone have a source for the wiring clips used on the Original's headlight wiring? I've only found some "restoration" clips for $9 each!

Kraig, Do you have some pics of how the headlight wiring for an Original is run? I'd especially like to see the clip placement. Thanks!

    Replacement engine for a 682

I have a 682 that needs an engine. I have a Kohler Command 18 in a 2185 and I'm wondering how it would fit physically, wiring issues aside. Anyone done this? Thanks.

Does anyone know if Originals had the 7HP decal on their gas tanks? I can't seem to find a picture that shows one.

Does anyone know when the Kohler KT17 Series II replaced the Series I? I've got a May 1981 782 and wondering what it would have come with originally. Thanks!

Joel G, I've got some more pics of the brakes on that Original somewhere. I'll try to find them.

Shultzie, that Original had duel rear brakes installed by the PO. If you look at the other picture showing the rear end, you will see the PO installed two left hand axle carriers with brake assemblies. You might also have noticed that there is a parking brake handle behind the pedestal.

Greg L, sounds like it will be a snug fit, but should be ok. Thanks for checking. Pics to follow tomorrow...
