I made a new drive shafts and did not drill the hole for a roll pin since I went with a 2 pc collar.also got thicker washers. Since the spring is new and the bearing is to, how far should I compress the...

I got the pins out on the clutch drive plate, would it be ok to use 3/8" X 1-3/4" instead of 3/8" X 1-1/2" ? That's all I could find at the store . I don't know if it would be a good idea to cut them down or not. What do you guys think. Thanks

Hydro Harry ... I had a battery blow up on me while I was charging it. I thought a buddy of mine tossed a firecracker outside by the garage door ,went outside and no body was there. 20 min later I popped the hood on the 104 and it a few chunks missing on the top of it. I'm glad the hood was...

Scott.. that reminds me of a time my old boss told me to put a new chain on a 066 , after I was done I fired it up and started cutting into a big nasty oak log and nothing. I put it on backwards, they had to remind me every day for probably 4 month.

I got a question for you guys , when you put a new clutch on how important is it to have the pressure plates cleaned up and machined ? I plan on getting them cleaned up but what if you don't. How much of a difference would it really make. I'm putting the oem disc on along with everything else.

David S... Have you tried using krylon tough rust. " almond " ? I'm not sure if it's close to what your looking for,but that's what I'm using. I had the same issues with the rustoleum too. It might not be right but I think it looks good to me , that's all that really matters right.just thought I...

I forgot to ask you guys , does anyone use those split locling clamps instead of the roll pins behind the spring. And since the new clutch disc looks like there isn't a piece of metal in the middle should I still use all 3 of the anti rattle springs . Getting a list of things I need to order...

Ok didn't mean to start anything yesterday , I actually do use a vise to tear them down. Really just wanted to make one for putting them back together. Since I did take some welding classes a while back and finally picked up a welder. Besides every clutch assembly I've taken apart I had to cut...
