Switching to cv jt driveshaft in a 1572 how hard is it?

The 1572/1772 driveshaft length is different than the 1872/2072. For a 1572/1772, use a driveline from an 1863/1864, a pump adapter from a Cyclops SGT, and either make the engine adapter 1/4" thicker than original, or use the engine adapter from a 1782/2182 with 1/4" spacer. Chances are you...

    Keyswitch on 1572

So I know that to the left is Glow Plug, Straight up is Off (electrical, not the engine), right is ON, but what is far right? The owner's manual indicates that as start, but on mine it does nothing, and instead has a start button. Is the start button a PO modification? I have noticed that...

Cub Cadet 2072 with 450 Snowblower

Chad, the 450 is the correct blower for your 2072 with the 4 5/8" PTO. The 451 and 551 blowers require the 6" PTO. BTW, I have run a 451 blower on my 1450 with a 4 5/8" PTO, and it did an OK job for me, and would throw around 12'. If it was the light stuff it could get 15'. What you are...

    1572 with 6" PTO

Thanks Matt. I found that the 44C deck came in 2 flavours: a model 318 (with 756-3055 large double pulley for 6" PTO), and a model 358 (with 756-3007 small center pulley for 4 5/8" PTO). Oddly, a 50C was never offered with a 6" PTO tractor, but that same 756-3055 pulley would do the trick...

    1572 with 6" PTO

Hi all, a 1572 followed me home last week, and I am trying to weigh my options. I have a model 450 blower and a model 451 blower. It seems that the 450 is in high demand, whereas the 451 is not. So much so, that I think I can sell the 450 for the same price as a 451 plus a new PTO! It makes...

Marty, It sounds like the governor has decided to let out on you. Try adjusting the throttle linkage to factory specs, but I am willing to bet that the governor is in pieces in your oil pan.

    Model 451 Blower Fan

Pat, I read something about that too, but my 451 works just fine on my 1450 as is. I was sort of thinking about changing the pulley on the blower to a smaller one, but again, it works pretty well right now so I don't really want to mess it up.

    782d & model 450 snowblower

I cut the stock tab off of the blower, and welded a new tab on pointing the right direction so that it would pull to lift when I mounted a 451 blower on my 1450.

Has anybody ever run a 5/8" PTO belt on a Wideframe/QuietLine?

Can I run a 5/8" belt on my Quietline? I just purchased a model 451 blower. The Quick-Attach sub frame fits and the lift was an easy modification. I could run it with a 1/2" belt, but I am thinking that a 5/8" belt would last longer. Does a later model PTO bolt on? Will a 5/8 belt screw the...
