    Implement lift

Question- Will the various bits and pieces for an Original fit on a Model 70? Both of my O's have lifts, but most of the parts for the Model 70 are long gone. I'd rather have the lift on the 70.

    Ross steering rebuild

I just finished buttoning up the Ross steering for my Model 70. New bearings, new stud, thrust ball bearing on the pivot, and fresh grease. A couple things- I have the stud backed off almost all the way- I guess when they're new, that's to be expected? The worm looked like new when I got it...

    Parting out Model 70

I've decided not to build a second Model 70, so I'm going to part out most of what I have. It's completely torn apart, and in need of cleaning/painting/restoration. The ring and pinion in the differential are pitted, so are probably not usable. The rest of the transmission gears are in excellent...

    Model 70 muffler options?

In looking at mufflers for my Model 70, I see the regular round 'lawn mower' muffler, that screws on to the exhaust elbow, but I also see a big muffler that attaches with a clamp, and has an angle fastening point on the other end. How do these hook up? I'm guessing a straight piece of pipe...

Removing an early CC exhaust elbow?

I have a couple K161's off of Model 70 CC's. The exhaust elbows are in pretty good shape, but seem to be virtually fused to the engine block by 60+ years of rust. Are there any tricks to removing them, or should I just leave it? New ones seem to be made out of unobtainium, so I'm afraid of...

    Model 70 custom

I wasn't sure where to put this, so move if necessary. This is my Model 70 project. I don't know what to call it- Hi Crop? Super 70? Anyhow, I started this 25 years ago (!) but life got in the way as it so often does. Now retired, I'm back at it. This started out as a junkyard Model 70, with...

    CC #2 cart

Boy, I'd like to get my hands on a solid #2 cart. I never see them around here. On ebay, they're around $300, and no shipping. I'm thinking about fabricating one, if I could get the dimensions. Anyone got one, either for sale, or that they'd be willing to measure for me?

    Early CC tire options?

With four CC's, two 'O's and two 70's, I'm in need of tires. All of mine are dry rotted. I'm mostly wondering what to run on the front and back of the 'O's. The only affordable option I'm seeing in a 6-12 are ag treads, which I don't want. For something similar to what they came with, they want...

    The 'other woman'

I confess; we're not an all-IH household. Although I'm semi-actively looking for an early Farmall, I turned to Ford to get the actual work done. I have a '65 Ford 3000 gasser. Attachments include a loader, mower, rear blade, 2 bottom plow, disc harrow, a wood chipper, and a spreader. I mostly...

    Back in the game!

Hi Guys- Jay here in upstate SC. I used to be into CC's, then got sidetracked developing our land and building our house. Now I'm retired, and starting to tinker with the old Cadets. I have two Originals and two Model 70's, or at least enough parts to have that many! I needed a small rig to tow...
