Roy, You have to separate the reduction from the transmission. There are two long bolts on the top and four shorter ones on the bottom. When separated loosen the fork clamp. slide the rod the fork sits on out the front . when you have clearance,just put the new on in and slide everything back in place. There is a spring and ball towards the front that gives you a detent dont let them get away. good luck.
