Heckerpead: You started us in the middle of the story. When did she go down? Where was she out of? How long did they search?

I read a story today about many years ago a ship smashed up just off the Maine coast and her crew ended up on a barren island in December. Most of them lived - though suffered hard.
Also saw the news call the Bounty (that just sunk) a "sailboat". To me, that's like calling a 30-30 a "gun".
 
OK, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm still laughing over here at Franks 'Heckerpead' comment... LOL!

Sorry Don, I don't mean to 'make light' about a truly sad story. That is horrible news!
 
I pray that I may live to fish
