Install sleeve hitch on 1811

Hi,
I would like to put a sleeve hitch on my 1811 #780369. I know it wasn't an option on this tractor. I read in a previous thread that it could be done with some modifications. I looked at Xtreme's u-brackets with tabs and think they would probably bolt on my aluminum rearend. The frame and lever connections appear to be the same as my IH 782 #670592 with sleeve hitch. Has anyone done this? Any help would be appreciated.

That would be exactly how it would do it.

I don't know. I am just guessing. Sometimes I pull cars around with this tractor. With the hitch bolted only to the aluminum rearend, would the rearend be strong enough to do that?

Stephen, If you're still considering it, You'll be fine!!! I put a sleeve hitch on my CCC 782, re-fabricated a tiller gear box,and tilled a few gardens and it's worked just fine. I would suggest spending a little extra on the U-bracket with the "ears" on it, and definately use lock-tite when you put it together. Those aluminum rear ends are tougher than most give them credit for.
