^The Originals used a blade subframe that is a bit different from the regular NF and WF blades in that the lift rod fastens to the rockshaft inside the frame rails.
I suggest you study the links below to determine just what is involved to install the original type blades to your Cub Cadet

The 1st link is for the very early O's and the 2nd link is for the later ones and the 70 and 100's
Pay att'n to the parts pictured for 61-61 with the "sleigh runner" undercarriage as part #10 is a welded ass'y to accept the OEM original inboard lift rod

This is a picture of the early one. It uses the brackets to bolt on the sides of the frame. You may be lucky and the lift rod may be on the tractor.

One thing to keep in mind, the early style blade did not have the trip springs to prevent sudden stops should an immovable object be hit. The later style with the trip springs are much safer and should prevent an unexpected launch over the steering wheel.
