Ok guys - back again if you can stand it.

I pulled out my vibration tach (wish I had a working camera). Apologies to my Italian friends, the unit is made in W. Germany (well we know where that is now).

The Tecumseh Part No. is 670156 (on the box and my receipt) from my friend CC dealer. Cost me $12.42 plus tax on 5/18/95. Might be $30 now or less on line some place. There a picture of one of these tools in one of the manuals, just can't put my hand on it right now (Kraig - where are ya buddy).

Now the tool itself is stamped "TREYSIT" and the instructions call it a TREYSIT Sirometer. It works on resonance and revolutions with a range of 800-50,000 rpm's (which should cover about everything).

Great little tool, cheap and easy to use. Maybe one of the sponsors has it or can get them.

Hydro Harry
Old Cubs Never Die (but keep'm below 3800 rpm's)

And while I'm at it, here's a nice little place I visited recently. Believe it or not - there are absolutely NO FIGHTS in this town.

B&S sells that vibra-tach too...part number 19200. I've got some sort of electronic inductive tach for small engines. I can't remember the brand, but it's made in the USA, at least.

I still use my Heathkit CM-2045 Small Engine Tuneup Meter...

Roy, I was always told the bottom seal goes backwards to let the new grease you put in push the old grease out with any moisture or impurities. It also helps seal out the bearings from under the deck trash.
