Thank you Digger. I was looking thru a hole on the other side. I will give that a try tomorrow.

The pic I posted is from a wide frame machine.
I didn't see what tractor you were working on, so I grabbed that pic.
You could very well have a site hole on the other side.
I had one once that had holes on both sides, LOL
But I think it had a replacement engine in it.

The tractor is a 123. Not the original motor. I replaced it with a new one probably 20 years ago.

We will see. Always looking for a weekend destination when we head out on the bikes. Sounds like an interesting time.

Be prepared to see RED then!!
There'll be lots of yellow & white cubs there as well.
Better plan on Thursday or Friday though, it's mostly history by Sat afternoon

I can affirm most are gone by Saturday at the RPRU.
Got a good handle on the parts I have, Marty I will definitely have to soak any of the parts I got thoroughly before attempting any disassembly. They've probably been sitting in a swamp before I got them, is what they seem.
Maybe I should just buy stock in PB blaster and the like....

A short time back, there was a brief discussion on the headlight rings for a 70/100.
There were two different types of rings: a two ring assy., and a four ring assy.

According to my 100s, the 4 ring was on the earlier models.

Does anyone know when IH went from a 4 ring to a two ring?
Was it in 65' when they started making the next series of GT's?

Here they are:

I counter with SGT with electric PTO, side sheets, hydro lift, dual hyd, and power steering....

But the 100's are the best looking, and 149's and 782's are bullet proof workers!!!

Ethan - well it's Sunday, the Super Bowl is over, and I don't see any report on you adjusting your turn-buckle.

I believe what you said yesterday was that if you push on the lever by hand you can freely rotate the PTO. That certainly makes it sound to me as if your PTO should work and it's just a matter of getting it adjusted correctly.

Kraig - Oh Great One Keeper of the Photos - You've never seen the turn-buckle adjusting rods with 2 nuts (left and right hand thread). I've seen it more often than not. I'm suprised the parts list doesn't show the left hand thread nut. I'm gonna post a couple pics of the rod I removed from a 102 not long ago. I've seen this same set up on many units.

Marty - nope, frame has to be upside down, so the axle weight pushes the pin toward the top of the axle channel.

Another thing - no one mentions adding grease thru the grease zerk to grease the pin and then rock the axle to distribute the grease as much as possible. With any luck you'll see grease coming out where the pin shows on each side of the axle.

Kriag - it ain't the best pic and I can't get it very large do to the size limits on here.
