Kraig,
Nope. LOL
I let it run for 3 minutes and shut it down.
Next step is to do the normal clean electrical connections, change oil,Hytran, tuneup and change out the belts.
Then I'll do the hood ornament, just for you!

Now everyone's going to want to find a Cub Cadet with a front tire that's flat on top.

Frank- I had one once on the 122. My son jacked the tractor up and the flat spot rolled to the bottom. Ruined the whole thing

Marlin, EXCELLENT idea!

My birthday is about 7 months out, plenty of time for Charlie to get that 125 cleaned up and the hood ornament mounted correctly.

David S., the reason that Marlin posted that is he (and Charlie as well) knows I'm a HUGE fan of the 125.

Perhaps you've seen the graphic that I created.

My 125 with the Bolens blade that I should have kept.

There's just something about the 1x4/5 series. My 125 is one sweet little tractor.

Digger-got my order today thank you.

And as a 125 owner also they do rock don't they

Quick question for everyone,I'm swapping the duel hydro systems over to Iron Patriot I have it all out and ready to go back together, except the control levers.I can't seem to figure out how to get them out of the steering tower. I've consulted my service manual and unless I'm a total Morron I can't find a service procedure for lever removal,is there a roll pin I can't see???or is service manual missing a section,HELP!!!!

Charlie nice find!!
Marlin, neat blade on your 125, lift arm reminds me of my 100's aluminum square stock lift rod some PO made. Works fine though.

And Kraig, you don't say you like 125's huh!!

Ethan: I hope you've been able to figure it out by now. Judging from the image of the Hydraulic Lift in Parts Lookup, I would say there is some kind of clip or pin (#9) that secures the bushing (#8) that holds the rod (#6), although how the rod itself is secured is still a mystery to me. Also, the dual hydro setup is not shown. I'm sure there are pictures of the assembly in the Archive, and I remember it being discussed before, but I'm not sure how to perform an effective search.

I don't think I've ever tried removing the pedestal from my 149, so I can't even help you there, but perhaps the image will spur some discussion.

Jeremiah C-that picture is very helpful,so it looks like there a snap ring that retains the the arm that goes to the spool valve.

The snap ring holds the bushing in the pedestal and does not need to be removed, unless the shaft is frozen/rusted to the bushing.

If a dual hydro, the bushing is not used as the inner arm/tube takes it's place.

There is 5/16" bolt (not shown) that squeezes the arm (#4) to the shaft #6 which is split through from the doubled end to the hole.

Breaking news from Webster's......"duel" & "dual" are now, through the efforts of this group, interchangeable. Nice work guys.

David

Everyone should have a 100. I have been out until this one got in my truck yesterday. It was born in June 1964 and was owned by the same family ssince new, until I bought it. It has been sitting in a garage for 6 years. I have not tried to start it yet, but it was running when it was parked (didn't they all)......
