Thanks! that helps a lot! I was thinking of something that sat on top of the axle and was bolted to the transmission. I see I don't need to do that.

    Haban Sickle mower 15106

Ok, the rain let up a little and I had to go outside anyway, so I looked at the mower again and found another tag. I do have a 402D.

    Haban Sickle mower 15106

I just brought home a trailer of Cub Cadets and attachments. There is a running 147, a 122 carcass, snow blower, tiller, mower deck and a sickle mower. The only tag I've found on the sickle mower says No: 15106. It's been raining all afternoon so I haven't been able to look it over yet or...

Marty, The starter I am using now was from a 147. I rebuilt that one 5 years ago but haven't finished putting the 147 back together yet. I will rebuild the weak starter and maybe even finish the 147. I had also upgraded the pos. and neg. battery cables because I thought they may have been...

Why did it take so long? I have a 127 that is rarely used and always hard starting. Over the last year, I kept checking the timing, cleaning the carburetor and fiddling with the ignition but it was always hard to start. I had a spare starter/generator that I had rebuilt a few years ago. I...

For sale, two 125's not running. $100 each. I intended to rebuild these a few years ago, but haven't gotten to it. I even moved them to the driveway this summer in the hopes of finding the time, but with winter here I know I wont. Located in Saugerties, NY 12477 You can call Paul at...

Wheel weights, it is that time of year, maybe a day or two too late! I have a 127 with the external brakes and I have 23x8x12 tires. Can I put a weight on the INSIDE of the rim? I have one on the outside and could add another but I would like to put it inside. My driveway was paved...

I left the needle bearings where they were and assembled the snow blower. The bearings for the gear box and the auger were replaced last year. Every thing turns smoothly, by hand, even the chute. I haven't attached it to my 127 yet. What oil/grease do people put on the chain? I know that...

I am putting a QA36 snow blower back together. I took pictures of everything before disassembly, except for one place. I bought new needle bearings for the shaft through the small sprocket and put them in the housing. They are flush with the out side edges, but not the inner edges. Does it...

I am disassembling a CC42 snow thrower to paint and prepare for winter. Yes, I am actually starting to get ready before Thanksgiving. I replaced the auger bearings and gearbox bearings last year but did not have time to paint. I started to remove the small sprocket mount with needle...

Thanks Kraig, Yes, a CC42 sounds right. It was discussed on this forum a few years ago when I first got it. I rebuilt the gearbox and the auger bearings to be ready this season. I haven't had enough snow to get it out yet. Maybe I'll do some clean up with it today.

Don, I have a ??42 snow thrower without the adjustment screw. It mounts like this picture from the CW-36 manual: My ??42 doesn't resemble the BB or CW series, and the gearbox is different from the the QA series. I bought a beatup QA-36A and moved the 42inch thrower to the QA gearbox...
