On my 126 12hp oil leak: So I will need to order a bearing plate gasket, oil pan gasket, and crankshaft seal. Do shims come with the bearing plate gasket, or do I have to buy them separately? Or do I reuse what's in there? Also, The oil pan gaskets I found specified narrow base or wide base. I'm...

Okay I have the fly wheel off of my 126 to replace the crank seal. It looks to me like I have to pull the bearing plate off and pull the seal out from the other side. Is that correct? I'm really not sure if the leak is coming from the seal or the plate gasket so probably good to change that...

Is not coming from the breather. It's coming from the back of the motor. I can't really see because of the cover on the motor. Looks like where the crank seal would be. I'm not sure since I have never had it apart before. I will have to take the clutch off and the motor cover off to get a good...

My oil leak is coming from the back of the motor would that maybe be the crank seal? I don't know where else it could be coming from, but it's dripping pretty good while it's running. Is that something I can replace without pulling the motor out and tearing it down? Thanks -Pat

When I remove the (oil fill) dipstick it blows air out. Does that mean I have to much pressure in the crank case? Or should there be a little bit there normally?

I have oil coming out the top of my motor on my 126 with a k301 engine. I'm thinking head gasket? The spark plug looks good, not oil fouled. I put a compression gauge on it measured 40psi. I have a Kohler manual that says I cannot rely on compression gauge reading because of auto compression...

I'm new to the forum, so excuse me if I put this on the wrong thread. I've owned a 67' 126 for a few years now. I want ti keep it running cause I just love old machines. I was going to wait til winter to restore this old girl since I use it to mow my lawn. However I'm not sure if the deck is...
