I can not explain the leak....however the gas tank is amost empty because all of the gas leaked onto the garage floor. Not sure if the two are related. Interestingly enough, now that there appears that the leak has subsided, when the throttle is all the way open the engine sounds a little louder...

As a follow up to my own questions, I pulled the air filter off, adjusted the hi idle screw, and there was the problem. Carb is back in action. The gas leak on the other hand may be best explained by opening the gas tank valve every so slightly as opposed to all the way open. Now to fix the...
