    I have a 1450 with an engine knock but have a spare 10hp Kohler. My question is will the 10. Hp have enough power to run the hydro and lift temporarily while I overhaul the 14hp?

    Not sure if the stack was the culprit to the valves or not. I had a stack on two tecumsehs that died shortly after putting it on. Always had a rain cap and inside so no rain. Could've been just bad timing on my part or the lack of lead in the fuel of an older motor. Just Leary of doing it. Like...

    I've been thinking of putting a stack on my 1000 but I've had bad experiences with them in the past on other tractors. They seem to fry the valves. Am I doing something wrong ? Or isit just a coincidence ? I've seen lots with them

    Thanks for the help on the shifter. I didn't realize that mine was the same style. I was told to remove spring and it'll pull out. Well mine looks like the one pictured with a broken cup off to the welder. Once again thanks for the help this forums great.

    I recently acquired a Cub 1000 that has no spark. It will spark one time as you let off of the ignition any help is appreciated. Thanks Brett
