    been trying to remove an oil seal on a vertical shaft kohler. I have tried numerous methods, but this seal is really stuck on there. any ideas will be appreciated.

    just got the part in, drained the rest of the oil and tried to remove the old seal. I tried the screw method (where you put a screw in it and then pry at the screw until it comes out) but it will not budge. Any Idea how to get it off? the engine is a 12.5 kohler command vertical shaft btw.

    White smoke usually is a sign of burning oil. This can be caused by to much oil, wrong types, or if the engine is at an angle.

    while replacing missing hardware on my mower, I noticed this connection. Is this something I Can say I never saw and ignore, Or is this a more serious issue? It connects to the shroud of the mower is that helps.
