    104 Not charging

    So I’m not very mechanically inclined. My 104 doesn’t seem to be charging. It runs fine and we can use it for the day off and on but the next day or after a few starts and use it won’t start without a charge. Could it be the voltage regulator or likely the starter/generator?

    Ok I looked thru three faqs but didn’t see it. What oil is recommended for the old 10hp Kohler? This one I just picked up has some really black oil on the dipstick. Also what spark plug y’all use?
