I need some help! I've got a 1250, rebuilt the carb and it runs good, but the problem is I keep seeing sparks where the choke cable and throtle cable comes through the shroud behind the motor. I've taken the gas tank off , have the dash wiring all unhooked etc. looking for a bare wire somewhere...

If this is posted in the wrong place, please move it where it should be. This winter I'm going to go through my 1250 from one end to the other. I'm getting tired of working on my knees all the time, I sure would like a "lift" to get the cub up to a decent height.(new ones are kinda pricey) Has...

Kenny W.: Yes the point saver is wired to the neg side of the coil. I think Matt G. is probably right in thinking its the carb. Hopefully this weekend I can take the carb apart and clean it again.

    Corn fired stoves

Rick, I have a St Croix corn burner. It is a small one only 40,000 btu, I use it to heat our 2000 sq ft basement area. If I remember right the stove is recommended for about 1400 sq ft. I am really pleased how the stove works and the job it is doing. Naturally the hardwood floors on the main...

I have tried several tire dealers (one a large ag tire/truck dealer in our area) and not one of them can come up with tri-ribs for the front of a cub cadet. Would one of you guys mind sharing a dealers name and phone number where I can find tri-rib front tires? Thanks, Jim

Oscar, you mentioned that you had a Gear Vendors OD unit in your truck,How did/do you like it? Was it worth the extra cost? Richard, that is a neat looking hoist setup, is it welded at the top corners or bolted together? What is the most lbs that you feel safe in lifting with it?

    Mower deck belt

I finally had time to clean up the mower deck today and---- I was wondering how many of you guys take the belt off of your deck for the winter? I do, that way it doesn't stretch any more or have a semi permanent "s" curve in it next spring. It also gives me a chance to look at the condition...

another 1250 question---has anyone changed the hydro control from the dash to being foot operated? I still surprise myself every now and then and almost end up with whiplash.(but pulling an occisonal wheelie is prime time fun in my book). Also, what kind of steering setup do the guys use who...

My 1250 has developed a extra noise. It is a sharp metalic sound, seems like it is comming from the right side of the engine (starter side). I can't find anything loose or out of place. It almost reminds me of a rocker arm with to much clearance, the engine runs great doesn't miss or anything...
