Thanks for all the help on the QA 42 blower. I didn't know what model till I looked on the parts lookup. It is a QA42 not an "A". The sprocket is not replaceable so it is going to the machine shop to turn off the old one. I'll have them leave a shoulder for the new one and weld it on. I want...

Paul E. Funk, It was the roll pin that had broken. Slipped in a new one and I'm good to go. Thanks for the information. David

I have a creeper gear that isn't working. I took it off and the lever that shifts it has become disconnected. Problem is I don't know how it is supposed to link to the sliding gear. The shaft turns but not the fork that moves the gear. Any thoughts? Thanks, David

Carey, Last year I had the same thing happen to me with the carb. I did everything by the book, new needle and seat, gaskets and set everything like it should be. It still leaked. I decided that day was going to be spent figuring it out, start from scratch again. I put some gas in a coffee...

Guys, If you had a choice what tire size would you use for snow plowing with a blade? I have 8.5, and 10.5's and want to order chains for one of them. This is for my 1450 or the 782, I'm wanting to use the hydraulic lift. David

DonT, I just did my 105 this way. I bushed #1 and 7 with bronze bushings. My pins were not worn at all for some reason. I couldn't find any steel bushings. #1 & 7 parts are very hard, need to be annealed before any reaming or drilling will go on. On part #6 the center of the slot (neutral...

Earl LaMott, I read your post a couple pages back and was wondering if you got the spring replaced. I'm not sure it is possible through the cover. Why was it coming off? Are the ends bent? What type of noise was it making, I have a noise in my K241 that bugs me. Thanks, David

Dudley, One the slop between 1 & 6 on the diagram. What I've done is weld up the pin and form to size. Then I measure the ends of the slot to get the narrowest size, then I put the plate in my large vice and squeeze (the center of slot) down to that size in the center, where the slop is. I've...

Evening guys, I have my 105 transmission out and need to tighten up the linkage. I'm doing that OK but I'm wondering how I will set the neutral with most everything under the tunnel cover. I have everything off that will come off but it's still tight in there. I've looked at the FAQ's but...
