charles, I have a 2072 and it has a little slop. My issue is tire rod ends. Check them and maybe that will help you. I notice mine when i am on pavement, the front tires fight eachother and are never consistant.

    450 Snowblower continues to plug

kraig, thanks for the input. the auger and housing were painted last fall. there is no rust and it is a plastic chute. The snow is pretty powdery but packs well and tight. I felt my chute and it is warm. This is a cub cadet 2072 it is on)quiet series) and all the heat is coming out the front...

    450 Snowblower continues to plug

paul, I a unsure how to check the RPM;s with a tach let alone turn them up? The belt does not squeal, and the tensio spring is still pretty tough. Takes a good effort to flip it. The blower assembly spins freely when I spin it by hand with the belt off

    450 Snowblower continues to plug

I have had it with my 450 snowblower on my 2072! It continues to plug all the sudden. I had to adjust the PTO clutch(which helped and improved performance) and after 2 times using it....it starts plugging again! All this after a new belt. Bearings appear to be good and tractor runs at full...

    CUb Cadet 450 Snowthrower Auger

Anybody know where I can get a used auger for a cub cadet 450 snowblower? Today I picked up a rock and instead of my shear bolt breaking it ripped through the auger tube. So basically one of my augers is in 2 pieces.

Cub Cadet 2072 with 450 Snowblower

I am trying to put the 6 in pulley on my 2072 for my 450 blower. Does anybody have a part number for the pulley on the horizontal drive on the 2072? It currently has a 4 in pulley which affects the distance my blower throws. Also any advice on this change would be appreciated

gentlemen, I figured out how to get my lift lever on the blower itself to 7o'clock. it was a matter of just a few adjustments. It was not set up for much float...now it is. I was inclined to figure it out at 8am when I had to use my yard machine walk behind to snowblow a foot of snow. Thanks for...

Cub Cadet 2072 with 450 Snowblower

Aaytay, I checked the tnesion on the belt...that spring did not have tension on it...now it does(becuase I flipped that lever). Did not notice a change in the augar speed though. I will find out the next time it snows. As for the 4 inch lever on the blower that the lift rod connects too....its...

Cub Cadet 2072 with 450 Snowblower

I looked at Art Aytay's posts and photo's. I am curious if he put the 6inch pully on his 2072 to get that much distance out of the snowblower. I am only getting about 6 feet with a 4 inch pully(on the engine) And is it a matter of taking the center bolt out of that pully?

Cub Cadet 2072 with 450 Snowblower

This is a photo of the blower. As you can see the bracket for where the push rod is at 9 o'clock position. I think it is past center point guys? The pushrod has been removed because I am making a new one. The blower is in the DOWN position in the photo

Cub Cadet 2072 with 450 Snowblower

I will post photo's tonight. The blower is down on the ground and they way it sits the lever connecting to the pushrod is facing back towards the tractor and when I raise the blower its like the lever and pushrod work against eachother.
