Charlie, Thanks for the mower deck diagram. I did try to find it in the parts lookup but didn't find anything. I always try to help myself before asking for help. Bill

A few days ago I asked if anybody had a diagram they would post of a 48" mower deck, ID# 482U1113, I guess nobody had one. Any kind of information about this deck will help.

Medical advice is DO NOT USE A MIG WELDER if you have a defibralator and pacemaker. Are there any forum member with these implants that still uses a welder? I sold my welder but miss it almost every day.

When I try to start a 149 there is a loud click when the key is turned. I have replaced the battery, starter, coil and condenser. The solonoid is the only other thing I can think of but hate to replace it if not necessary. Anbody got any ideas?

I removed a 3pt hitch from a 108 to install it on a 149 and found the manual and hydraulic lift bar connections are different. Is there an extra connection link that is used on the 149 that may be called a 3pt pin plate or something similiar that I need? Help will be appreciated.

I still need some information about a 149 3 point hitch lift bar. I removed a hitch from a 108 intending to put it on a 149 but the lift bar doesn't appear to be interchangeable. Any help will be appreciated. A photo would be great but even the length will help.

Are there any marks on the balance gears in a 14hp Kohler engine that are used to line them correctly on the crankshaft? I have a couple of photos from the forum but not enough to guess about it. Any info will be appreciated.

How is a Brindly plow measured to determine if it's a 8", 10" or 12" size? I may be the only one on the forum that doesn't know, so if somebody will tell me I'll know too.

Charlie, I'm the one that was dense. I put the washer in the wrong place. It's the Friction Washer in the picture. Since they are easy to break I thought it might be worthwhile to make them if the right material is used. I have at least one deck that doesn't have them. Thanks for the...

Anybody know of a material that can be used to fabricate the fiber washer between the bearing and lower bearing housing on mower deck spindles? I guess they are there to seal the bearing and maybe a hard gasket material might work. Maybe it's a bad idea.

Thanks everybody for the photos and drawings of the mower decks. I have two 42" and one 48" deck and the information was especially helpful. Bill
