CC repair

Looking for someone who can fix and/or adjust the hydrostat transmission on our 1974 IH Cub Cadet 169 in Northern California. None of the local shops work on old equipment;-(
The tractor now only goes forward and not in reverse...

Switch the relief valves and see if it goes forward and not reverse.

Did that early on. Both button valves had some dirt in them. Made no difference...

There's some adjusting that needs to take place. The issue is not the pump.

Again, I am pushing 82 years old and this is beyond me. Besides the directions do not pertain to our Cub. Perhaps if the linkage was more accessible. My wife is now looking for other yard tractors and considering junking out her CC. Shame there are no repair shops in our area that can work on old Cub Cadets
