    782 1A tiller belt problerms

Kraig, thank you I will check and see if that's the one I already tried. Charlie, no numbers were left on the prior belts. I do a lot of tilling so I'm OK with 4 yrs on those belts. It's the 30 minutes I got on the last two that bother me. 156" 5/8 wide would be ideal, but I have only found...

    782 1A tiller belt problerms

Hey guys I need some help. I need a belt. I have a 782 with a 1A tiller. I need the long belt. A little history. The 782 has a Command 18 transplant motor, and the 1A tiller has a non factory pulley on the bottom of the gearbox. So the factory belts don't fit. I have previously gotten a few...

    Command 18 swap into a 782 (wiring)

Well I finally had a chance to do some work on this again. I hooked up a bunch of wires that I thought were right, went to hook the neg up on the battery and got a spark show. Obviously I have something terribly wrong! I hate wiring!

    Command 18 swap into a 782 (wiring)

I'm going to be gone over the weekend but will look closer at it once I get back. This is what I can tell you about the schematic in the command manual. --2 red wires come from fuel shut off solenoid and one goes to R on key switch, one goes to S. --1 white wire goes to M. --1 violet goes to...

    Command 18 swap into a 782 (wiring)

Sorry I wasn't more specific. The 782 is Pre 720,000. When I first had this done in the 682, Ken U was about the only one at the time that I knew of had done it(long time ago). I was told that I had to update the key switch to one out of an 1864. The old notes I took down were, It is a...

    Command 18 swap into a 782 (wiring)

I am in the process of putting a Command 18 into a 782 and am looking for some help w/the wiring. I previously had this motor in a 682, but I had someone else do it and the tractor never charged. The wiring harness was so hacked up it didn't make any sense. I have wiring diagrams but to be...

Ben- You shouldn't have a problem pulling it w/the 4-wheeler. I can pull it through a firmer mixture of dirt w/the Ih 682 with 200lbs on it...but wet soft sand I could only have 20lbs and had to have the front lifted a little. I think Agri-Fab makes on that is a little heavier, more for a...

Ben- I have one and don't have any complaints. It takes a little more time to break up sod, and you have to add a little weight for that. I like it. Just my opinion.

Kraig, Bryan, Pat I, I checked the belt on the tiller last night. The belt I have is for the earlier models w/a cast rear end, 54 5/16" long, 21/32" wide. The newer belt from information I gathered is 62" long. When I put the belt on the PTO and mule, pull it tight, I end up about 2 1/2"...

Bryan, Kraig- Thanks for the help guys. According to that, p.52, there was some adapting that needed to be done to get a 1A onto a 682. I have everything there except the 190-375, and 190-385. I think that the 190-385 is the straight mule drive. So all I have to do is find out what is in...

Guys I really need some help with a 1A tiller. I bought a tiller for my 682. I bought it and got a straight mule drive off a wf and a belt with it. Ithink the PO used it on a 129 The belt was too narrow for the 682 application and too short so I ordered the correct belt and received it...
