149 making rattle sound especially on shut down.

Yeah, noticed that too. The noise though seems to continue after they stop shaking, that said they need to be dealt with. I am also going to take a closer look at the PTO.

Works on this end. What format does it need to be? I am on a laptop and not a phone.

149 making rattle sound especially on shut down.

I have a 149 bought last fall. It seems to make a rattle noise especially on shutdown. I was told this could be motor mount bolts but I am at a loss.

    Rear lift hitch

I am looking at a parts tractor with a rear lift hitch, narrow frame. Will this fit my 149? I want to run a tiller. I do have a 105 but I am not sure how well that will power a tiller.

    Battery for 149

I bought a new battery, replace the conventional round battery ends with copper lugs soldered in and got one of those battery boosters. Starts good. Now to install the chains and get some weight over the tires. Running wide ag tires with smaller wheel weights. I could kick myself for selling...

    Battery for 149

Mine is not cranking at all! I knew it needed a battery even though it was starting before it got cold so if I get one I want to get something decent. I will do another search for the magnetic heaters and try to determine if they go on the trans or the motor. I just no longer have a warm spot...

    Battery for 149

I wonder if anyone has used a class 26 auto battery. It looks tight and I will need to measure the battery in the store as I am not sure where they take the specs from. Is there a better alternative? Just like the 105 this one cranks hard when its cold.

Front snow plow frame issue 149

We got the torch out and managed to make it fit. I clamped a 1 inch piece of bar stock for a center reference so both sides matched more or less. It was way easier to attach the frame without the plow assembly attached. All is well. Thanks all.

Front snow plow frame issue 149

I found the manual by using the front portion of the link you sent. Thanks so much.

Front snow plow frame issue 149

As I said I have no idea and the guy who sold me the tractor never made mention of removing the deck hanger hardware and it makes no mention of it in the manual. It does say in the manual to attach the sub frame then attach the blade by at the pivot point with the rod and cotter pins. I looked...

Front snow plow frame issue 149

Thanks! While it does not give the measurements it does mention bending the forks to fit so I may just take some new measurements and re configure the attachments to fit so as to not interfere with the deck mounts.

Front snow plow frame issue 149

Here is a photo of a plow frame included with a 149 we recently purchased. The seller said he used this plow in the past but suggested we "straighten" up the under frame a bit as it was bent here and there. I had no idea how this frame was suppose to attach to the tractor but that has never...

Thanks Matt, What I can't figure out is why I have never noticed this before? Maybe I have too many new obstacles on the lawn. I guess it's time to tidy up a little.

My 105 steers tighter to the left than to the right. I assume something is out of whack. Is there a place I should look first?

The last 5 foot strip of grass for the year and I managed to clip one of the cedar trees. I was done for the year! I am going to remove the steering link but should I remove the arm or just heat it up and bend it with the big crescent wrench? Now that I am looking at the photo I am not sure I...
