    Bruce N I have had good luck using a punch or chisel and a hammer. Just tapping the wheel where the bearing goes every 20 degrees or so all the way around to reduce the size of the opening a bit. Do it lightly and go all the way around. Then try the bearing. If its still to big repeat as...

    The first IH (MTD made) red diesel was the 782D and they probably average about $2000 when sold here in the midwest. Later yellow ones include the 882, 1582 and 1782 I believe. Roger

    Lonny you said you replaced the carb with another one. Was it by by any chance one from a fly wheel gear drive starter engine not a starter generator engine. The chokes are different between the two types. The choke on a starter genrator motor covers more of the opening than the other kind...

    I also used a winch on my home made Johnny Bucket on a 147 and because it moved so fast I doubled the cable with a pulley. This effectively cuts the lift speed in half and doubles the lift capacity. Roger

    G. L. the K141 Has the same bore as an early K161 but a shorter stroke crankshaft. That is why it is 14 cubic inches not 16 cubic inches. It is also why it is 6.25 HP not 7 HP like the K161. Roger

    G.L. the K141 is a 14 cubic inch 1 cylinder version of the K161/K181 Kohlers that are used in CCs. Rated at 6.25 HP. Roger
