When John Deere decided to quit using the troublesome Z line hydro with the BDU15L they were upset that the line had been dubbed "The Cub Cadet Line? by the employees and management of Sunstrand. The name stuck for years and at the height of production the simple line was putting out 300 units...

Thank You 😊 After I get settled in at Dubuque. I will get the process started to preserve the blueprints. I am confident that Kraig and others will be willing to help figure out a way to make the prints fit into the Forum's site. And if time permits I want to take more detailed...

    Rare IH Collector's Auction

Hi Dennis. I thought the Wisconsin Historical Society is in Racine. If it's in Madison then hopefully I can present a copy of the blueprints that I have. If I would have known that sooner then Diana and I could have visited it when I stayed with her after knee surgery.

There are stamped dates of March 1963 and a couple others. So it's either a 1962 or 1963 year. Charlie said that another Sunstrand employee was able to keep the housing with the serial number and other parts not needed.

The faded picture of the 1450 was also a gift from the company. I appreciate everyone's thoughts about the blueprints. Maybe Kraig can post a couple pictures of the prototype Hydrostatic Original.

Howdy Everyone!!! Again it's been awhile since I've posted. Busy with so much other things. January 3, 2022 will be my official last day at Danfoss Power Solutions in Ames. I am "retiring " from there and moving to the Dubuque area. Last Friday a party was held for me. I was...

Things that Kill my Cub time.

Good morning, Greg. If I recall correctly Danfoss Power Solutions tried to retire the 15 and M25 Series in 2014 however there were a couple of customers that had strong enough orders to keep them going. QCC is a fantastic company. From what I've heard they will begin production in Chicago at...

Things that Kill my Cub time.

HI, Dave. That's a sweet looking car!!! I'm looking at moving to the Dubuque area early next year. It will put me just across the river from Diana. Not quite ready to leave Iowa for Wisconsin quite yet. It's hard to get any PTO due to labor shortage. So it's still mandatory overtime.

Things that Kill my Cub time.

Good evening, All. I said that when allowed that I would announce what I think is some good news. A company called QUALITY CONTROJ CORPORATION LLC of Chicago, Illinois has purchased the entire 15 Series and M25 Series from Danfoss Power Solutions. They are a great company and...

Things that Kill my Cub time.

Howdy. This is what I have been able to find out so far. The 90 is the company I.D. Model number. The next set of numbers designate the application. So Kraig M.'s 90-1006 will give the specifics such as shaft and other specs. or ported/non-ported.

Things that Kill my Cub time.

Hi, David. I am currently living in an apartment in Ames. Both knees having been replaced now. ( I have some cool pictures from both surgeries.) My left knee was replaced January 4 in Baraboo, Wisconsin. I stayed with my Sweetheart in Madison during recuperating. She wants me to move there...

Things that Kill my Cub time.

Howdy again Everyone. I can't remember if there is a serial number and model number I. D. tag on the pump somewhere. It's the actual BDU 15U complete pump assembly. Since there are/were many different shaft sizes available and different trunion orientation plus rotation thus each...

Things that Kill my Cub time.

Howdy Everyone. It's been a long time since I've posted. Between two knee replacements and having to move into an apartment. Well... life sometimes takes unexpected different paths. My oldest son has my Cub Cadets. My Grandson has Clarence the Cub Cadet (102). Anyway..... I need to...

    cub cadet 1450

My thoughts on the "not worth rebuilding" Perhaps your mechanic is looking at the total cost factor of the engine rebuild. If so then what he is saying in a way makes sense. What he is thinking is that it is cheaper to buy a new mower than rebuild the engine. However what he is overlooking...
