I saw that ad. Not detailed enough to show how it mounts. The blower I have is in very good shape. And with the center drive shaft would be very easy to mount to the 3 point on the back of the 982. Might be kind of fun too, until I get tired of backing up.
Side note- I got the GTX going...
Thanks. The Troybilt is a GTX20 and a 14063 snowblower (2 stage 46") I think. The lifting mechanism is a bit different and I am going to have to look if that IH approach will work. If not, you pics give me an idea of how to make it work on the 982.
I recently purchased a Troybilt mower and front mount snow thrower at auction. Problem is the male quick-tach hardware is missing. Does anyone have a pic that I could use as a reference to build my own? If I can't find anything, I might just build a 3 point mount and use my IH 982 w/pto big...
Kraig - On the Linamar pan, sorry. I had thought about it on Friday last week, but when I got to it on Saturday, I dove right into the work and forgot the camera.
I thought I would give everyone an update on my IH 982 with a Linamar LX 790 engine that I suspected had a cracked pan. This is from a few days ago.
I pulled the motor and sure enough the mounting ear on the front right corner was cracked all the way around the bottom. Likely caused by my...
Thanks for the responses yesterday on the Linamar cracked pan question. I have removed some of the body work and I can see what appears to be a small crack next to one of the oil drain plugs so I am pretty sure there is a larger problem underneath. I'll post again once I get deeper into it...
I have a IH 982 with a Linanmar replacement engine. I haven't had time to pull the motor yet, but I believe the pan is cracked since it is leaking oil out the bottom. I noticed the leak and shut it down before the motor got hot. Likely a stress crack. Does anyone know if the pan from the...
