    My 71 refurbished!!

Thanks Luther, Joshua & Wayne!! Joshua, It will only be scooping air cause where I live now has full property maintenance. I'll try to keep it scratch free as long as possible. Wayne, no worries, I've got a 70 w/Danco RD1025 on it coming in the near future and that may possibly get used...

    My 71 refurbished!!

Thanks Melody, Donald and Kraig!! Was quite an experience getting this 71/loader in the current condition it is! I've learned a crapload about cubs since I got hooked last year in June with an O'. My first tractor show will be next Saturday and I'll be taking the 71 with me. Getting...

    My 71 refurbished!!

Thanks again guys!! Now for some time in the sun! She's working perfectly, at first when I started it up it took a few seconds for the hydraulics to start working. When it did it started gulping the fluid, then I realized it was spewing it onto the floor! Had a loose fitting on the control...

Thanks Marlin for the headsup!! and the compliment! Thanks to you also Kraig! I do enjoy working on these old cubs!! Well, it's 99% done now. Just have to put dump lever and front bumper on tomorrow and I'll be able to put Hydra fluid in it and fire it up! I'm hoping all the new gaskets...

Here's a couple pics of my cub hauler!! I picked up 2 O's and my 71 by stuffing them in the back of my Honda Element. Just barely fit an O' with timed deck, had 1" of clearance on each side of wheel wells! Have hauled several other cubs with a rental trailer, soon need to break down and buy...

    My 71 refurbished!!

First of all Craig, how have you gone 2 months without getting your 2nd cub??. I think I made it a month then saw the 71 listed on CL, had to have it. Sold my mountain bike dirt cheap so I could go get it! I think I have it under control now since I have 2 O's, a 70 coming,71,72,73. A 100...

    My 71 refurbished!!

Craig, this is the major reason I call this a refurb rather than a restoration. I used rattle can to do the whole tractor. Rust Oleum 209715 is the yellow I used. It's "old caterpillar yellow" and is the closest match to IH that I could find. 6-15oz cans for $35 sure beats $15/can of cub...

    My 71 refurbished!!

Thanks Kraig! For the excerpts and the compliment!! I want to put a utility box and duals on one of my O's, so I'm glad that it was offered on the 63' O' as an option. Thanks again!

    My 71 refurbished!!

Thanks Craig! She was alot of work, but a labor of love! Can't wait to get it finished with the loader so I can take it to a show!! The boxes on the rear are IH utility boxes. Started as an option on the 70/100's I believe.
