Marty, I would buy the thrower. I hope you were not looking at the 48" haban I just bought for $125. That was in Lewiston Maine. From your profile address, that would be a major road trip. If it was, let me know I can probably find you something else. John

Hi All, I got the 450 on my 782. Tried it out on 6" of snow a couple of weeks ago. Snow removal was like going to get the mail. Three passes on the driveway and back in the shed. Does anyone know a cheaper grease to grease the gearboxes I just spent 44.00 for the two 8 ounce tubes I needed. I...

Jim, I found the weld nuts at mcmaster carr If anyone needs some I will have a bag of 23 left over. Also they have hardened bushings to reduce the 11/16" quick pin mounting hole on the carrage down to 1/2" for the bolt. I still wonder about he pivot bar as they look like the should bolt centered...

Thanks Guys I am on my way. hardware is coming. I saw that they show the install of the quick attach bar in the manual .I wondered if it made setting the 1/2'-13 bolts easier. Hi All, I am going to look at a model 450 thrower for my 782 tomorrow. Has anyone run these two together? From what I could gather they should fit...? the 450 was on a 1811. Bernie, I am expecting to receive A rebuilt(remanufactured) series 2 kt-17 from custom small engine in Ohio. It was a little cheaper than a repower with a modern motor and the install is the same as the take down only the reverse(so they say). I went the old motor route first and as some one...
