Your Hesston was made at Hesston Mfg Co. at
Hesston,Kansas. I think they were bought out by AGCO, but they still do make some items with the Hesston brand on it.
You might try them and see if they can furnish any information.

I guess you could paint it any color of green that you liked as long as you would keep it in a shed where no one could see it!! By the way, what is wrong with the original yellow? That color looks good to me!

Chances are if it has been inside, new gas, new oil, maybe a carb. overhaul, you could have a good cub that might last another 20 years.

I have found that yellow paint always takes more coats to cover. I have used valspar and always had good luck. Two, three or four coats is always better than one thick coat. I have found that valspar dries fairly quick so you can wait maybe 10 to 15 minutes and spray another coat.
