Injector pump replacement on a 782d

The block heater alone should cure hard starting issues. I left my tractor on the trailer the other night around 5*F. Had it plugged in for a couple of hours ahead of time and it started with 20 sec of glow plugs on the first try. As far as those cap screws go, I'm guessing there just hex...

Injector pump replacement on a 782d

The oval plate(s?) your reffering to, are they the ones the injector lines bolt to? I couldn't really look on mine, as it's too cold out, but when I had my pump out to clean it, I thought they were just 2 bolt flange adapters like what you would find in hydraulic setups. Where exactly was it...

    1872 with no spark

lol, sorry. Way too many parts floating through my head.

    1872 with no spark

A bad cap/condenser does that too. Works cold, then as it heats up it shorts itself out. I see that one a lot.

    After the fire...

Great job, Matt. notice any difference with that accel pack? Running your plugs a little wider? For others who would like to do that, and visit junk yards regularlly, you can find that same setup on fuel injected vehicles. Look for ones (like isuzu rodeo) that uses paired coil packs that can...

    1572 diesel

who/where was I arguing? I was suggesting checking content/condition of fuel pump pre-filter. Gives an idea if it's pre/post fuel pump, and the easiest item to remove/inspect.

    1572 diesel

Pull inline filter before pump. Hold upside down so "in" arrow points up. Hold a rag under it as you do. Also spray some brake cleaner( I use non-flamable crc, it doesn't hurt plastics or burn, etc.) in the "out". Is there very fine black or rust particles in there? Maybe like a very fine...

    1512D Starter Question

Matt, basically what I did is removed the orange wires from the indicator. tied them together and pig-tail'ed them to the pos on the LED indicator light. I also Ran another wire to the switch terminal on the starter relay I bolted on top of the fan bracket. A fresh power wire from the bat to the...

    1512D Starter Question

Sorry I didn't read this sooner. However, I have your answer, and it's cheap! http://s142.photobucket.com/albums/r91/FancyBob_2007/Cub%20Pics/882/Glow%20Plug%20Conversion/ That album shows my wiring changes on the Kubota. The fault is in the design. Originally these engines used fixed...

Engine surging, dies at low throttle

That also brings up another good point. Is the screen in the gas tank clogged? Lines? Pepcock?

    1863 Hydrostat Dipstick Issues

Whats the S.N. of your cub? I found two different tube/dipstick combos for the 1863. Prior to 880,000 or after. If before you need to have tube CCC part # 727-3028 with dipstick # 703-0911. If after 880,000 749-3161 tube and 727-3095 dipstick. From what I see, the first one looks like...

    1863 Hydrostat Dipstick Issues

Is it the part farthest from the handle that keep breaking off? If so, it would lead me to belive that it is hitting the differential and getting sheared off. What you should do is drain the Hy-Tran from the rear and remove the cover. Insert a new dipstick and see if you can easilly deflect it...

Ah, the ol' "convert rear drum to disk" pain in the back. Or bad valve, cheap repair. been there, done that.

Yeah Ken, bout the only place I shop anymore is NAPA. There the only ones left around here that are still locally owned... But they never seem to have what I need, or take a while to find it. Why SAE for the toy, I'd think that'll need 8~10mm fittings.
