Actually the 147 frame is a good place to start with as far as narrow frames go. The frame is already made with extra clearance for the larger flywheels that came on the newer model 14 horse kohlers. It is pretty easy to install a gear drive set up in place of the hydro unit, and I think it will...

    Big Mower Decks- Opinions???

I mow with a 60" haban on my 2072. I think it leaves a better finish than my newer 2550. My yard looks like a big pool table when mowing with the 2072, I also have mine set so that the caster wheels are "floating" just above the ground.

Cub 1050-mid to late 80's model

Yes Nic, I run them on a pro stock class tractor and a 30 ci puller, also on some stock class tractors as well. You can usually buy the wide sets cheaper than the others too.

Cub 1050-mid to late 80's model

Nic, instead of machining the cast iron housings for the bearings, why not just machine the one aluminum housing to the thickness of the thinner cast iron one. I have two sets that have been done like this and they work great and save a little weight also.

    IH in films

In the movie "Twister", alot of I.H. stuff comes down as "debris" ! I think they show them driving past the dealership right before that happens.

Dan, I saw an articulating cub set up with two case reaerends this summer at the Winamac power of the past show. The owner said he had trouble getting two cub cadet rearends to run the same speed, so he used two case hydraulic units. It was a pretty slick set up.

I priced one at the dealer for 6995.00. They offered a pretty good trade in price for my 2009 2550. I'm still debating, I have a surgery to pay for first.

1811 cub cadet problem plz help

I am just guessing but it sounds like an issue with your carbs float and or needle. Running out of fuel on an incline from running the bowl dry due to the float sticking or out of adjustment holding the needle shut.

I may consider trading if it looks like a better model than my 2550. Another thing I don't like is the deck. The area around the spindles above the blades is open and a large amount of the clippings pile up on top of the deck . You have to keep it cleaned out or soon you smell burning grass or...

    450 snow blower refurb

Well I found the problem on my 450 blower, the rolled pin at the impeller to the gearbox shaft was sheared off but still in place. It was easy to find after removing the drive belt and spinning it by hand. I have been busy with the holidays and didn't get to it until today. Thanks for all the...
