Has a Briggs 11hp that I can not get started, It is pumping fuel out the carb something fearce, put a new carb on it and still pumps out fuel, have the needles set one turn out on the idle jet and one and a half out on the main and still pumps out fuel and will not start, any help before I give...

I love my tractor but wish it had the Kohler engine, My briggs is using a lot of oil and can't get a short block anymore, I was wondering if anybody knew what modern engine would bolt right up, right now it has the type 1135-01 model 253417, any help would be greatly appreciated
