Thanks Kendall. Actually I found that the axle pivot pin is NOT broken. The roll pin stuck barely in the top hole was never driven far enough to keep the pivot pin from working its way backwards, clearing the frame and causing the axle to drop--except not completely out since the pin was still...

I am trying to replace the axle pivor bolt in my 149 that sheared off right behind the front axle. I took the whells off and disconnected all the tie rods but the existing pin potruding behind the axle is hung up on the frame and the axle won't drop. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Donald. I took my old filter to Tractor Supply and matched up a genuine Kohler air filter # 25 883 03-S1. A perfect match from the one last put on by the cub dealer here. However the new one comes with a foam pre-cleaner while the dealer never put it on.

Does anyone know the Kohler air filter part number for my 149? And I would appreciate getting pointed in the right direction for the oil discussion. My manual says to use a simple 30 weight. Are synthetics ok? Walt

A store near me carries kohler air filters--what part # do I need for my 149? The faqs page doesn't list Kohler air filters (or I just can't find it.) I would also like to replace all my belts--is there a page that lists all the belts I need for my 149? Thanks

Thanks, I usually check the Faqs first. Now, what's the best oil to use?

Does anyone know if this site has a cross-reference for the air filter for my 149? Of course I have the Home Depot, Lowes, nearby. I also must have bumped my deck and knocked it off something since the deck no longer goes up and down. Does anyone know how to take the cover off for me to...
